Canton Charge wrap up Windy City on blanket night

It was free blanket night at the game as each fan received a holiday themed fleece throw courtesy of the Salvation Army. The fans were in for a rollicking game as both teams brought the physical to both ends of the court. The lead changed hands most of the game until mid fourth quarter when the Charge took control and held on for the win.

Canton forward Emanuel Terry earned his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while dishing out four blocks in 34 minutes. Bonzie Colson recorded his third double-double in as many games aaaas he scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 38 grueling minutes of play. Levi Randolph also posted his third consecutiv double-double as his 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting off the bench went into the record books. In the paint it was Canton outscoring Windy City 60-44.

Akron native and St. Vincent St. Mary alumnus JaKarr Sampson was top scorer for the Bulls with 21 points and 11 rebounds on 10-of-15 shooting. 2-way forward Rawle Alkins was good for 17 points and five rebounds while former Charge guard jon Octeus added 11 points. This loss puts the Windy City on a seven losses out of eight contests. The two teams have a scheduled rematch his Friday, December 14, 2018 in an away game.

Who is Mark Horning?

Over the course of my life I have worked a variety of jobs including newspapers, retail camera sales and photography. Eight years ago I embarked on yet another career as writer. This included articles concerning sports and cultural events in Cleveland, Ohio as well reviews of the many theatrical productions around town.
