Cleveland Auto Show is driving by this weekend so make plans now to stop by

It may still be winter but in Northeast Ohio but in spite of that the roads are clear and dry and the good news is the outside temperature will be going up over the weekend. Meanwhile at the Cleveland Auto Show inside the Cleveland I-X Center its a pleasant 70° and the floors are fully carpeted for your walking pleasure.

During each hour of the show, various manufacturers will be holding contests and demonstrations in their various exhibit areas where you will have a chance to win some bling. Nissan has a ten question multiple choice trivia game with top prize being Wi-Fi Earbuds with various cool prizes for the runner-ups. Toyota is showing off their prototype GR Supra which looks lightning flash just sitting there and if your quick to answer a question you could win a prize. Hyundai has their Swag contest where everyone participating wins. All you have to do is register and play in order to participate in these and the many other contests available during the show.

Other highlights to check out over the weekend are:

The Ride N’ Drives are always popular with the following six manufacturers participating this weekend: Volkswagen, Chevrolet, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Fiat, Subaru, Toyota and Nissan. This is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of your potential future purchase for an extended drive while your driving companion tells you all of the features of this particular model.

Out on the floor at the Ram Test Track you can take a wild ride over unbelievable terrain and after a short survey you can spin for your choice of a Dodge RAM hat, T-shirts, canvas bag or work gloves. After taking a ride on the Jeep track they offer a large heavy duty grocery style bag while the Mercedes test track hill climb offers nada after the ride.

Millionaire’s Row is back with a collection of cars mere mortals can only dream about. If you want to see what a million bucks looks like on four wheels this is a must see exhibit. Included in the showcase: a 2020 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante, a 2020 Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge, a 2020 Bentley Continental GT 1/100, a 2020 Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series, a 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG-GT635, a 2020 Lotus Evora GT, a 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo and a 2020 Porsche 911 Carera.

More down to earth is the Classic Car exhibit located in the South Hall where local owners get a chance to show off their restored and custom cars dating 25 years or more. On the line is being named “Best of Show.” Also on display in this area is the 2019 Cannonball Run record setting Mercedes E63 AMG with a list of all the added law enforcement deterrents as well as the average speed and times for the trip (the numbers will blow your mind). The Classic Car exhibit area also is home this year to the Crawford Auto and Aviation Museum where you will find an electric van used to deliver purchases from Harrods of London from 1938 well into the 70s. Also featured is an early model GM sedan.

Inside the West Entrance you can register to win a 24 month lease on either a 2020 Buick Encore GX or a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. Ten finalists will be chosen to come back to the show on March 1, 2020 with two Grand Prize winners to be selected.

Another fun stop is the Celebrity Car Museum display that includes K.I.T.T. from Night Rider, the “Back to the Future” Delorean Time Machine, the 1983 GMC A-Team Vandura and a 1967 Pontiac GTO ready to do battle.

Hidden among the various manufacturer displays is “Auto Show Alpha” which is a full size concept car produced in Oklahoma.

Be sure to stop by the Subaru display. Along with their really cool rustic National Parks theme they have an area set aside for various local rescue organizations where you can get cuddly with a possible new four legged member of the family.

As the show winds down the following special event will happen during the show this weekend:
