Cleveland Charge defeats Windy City Bulls with total team effort

With every passing home game it seems that a formula has emerged. Each game has a different player putting on the cape and becoming the hero. This season truly has become a team effort as the Cleveland Charge keeps rolling up the victories.

Last evening the Cleveland Charge (11-4) defeated a determined and physical Windy City Bulls (8-5), 114-108. The win is Cleveland’s fifth straight as they are undefeated on their home court with eight victories. This win qualifies the Cleveland Charge for the 2022 NBA G League Showcase Cup in Las Vegas.

Early on, Cleveland seemed to have trouble putting a handle on the ball as they fell victim to numerous steals and intercepted passes. The team eventually settled down and working with the coaching staff came up with a successful strategy. Cooper leads the NBA G League in scoring with a game average of 25.1 points per game. Mamadi Diakite was hot with 23 points and six rebounds in 32 minutes. Sam Merrill dive-bombed 7-of-8 three pointer attempts scoring 21 points in 34 minutes. Nate Hinton contributed with 12 points, five boards and three steals in 37 minutes.
