Cleveland Charge get bit by the Indiana Mad Ants

The only good thing about this game is that somehow they eeked out 100 points exactly so everyone there got a couple of free donuts from Peace, Love and Little Donuts. Other than that it was a real debacle. It seems at times that the team could not buy a basket along with the number of steals as they made their way down court.

So here it is. The Cleveland Charge (5-6) were defeated by the Indiana Mad Ants (9-1). 116-100, at the Wolstein Center on Thursday night during the annual team’s Noche Latina Celebration

Emoni Bates led all scorers with 25 points on 10-of-18 along with three steals in 33 minutes. Olin Carter III hit for 17 points in 26 minutes. Devontae Shuler came off the bench to score 14 points while grabbing five rebounds in 31 minutes.

Three of the Mad Ants hit 20+. Elfrid Payton scored 21 points with two steals. Kyle Mangas was good for 20 points with five boards. Pedro Bradshaw netted 20 points with 14 rebounds and three steals. Over the course of the game Indiana led by as much as 27 points. Yea, it was that kind of a game.

Cleveland has a couple of days to lick their wounds as the two teams meet again at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland on Saturday, December 9, 2023 with tip-off slated for 7:00 p.m. The Cleveland Charge will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the movie “ELF” with Goodwill supplying ELF T-shirts to the first 1,000 humans who love elves or Cleveland Charge basketball or both. Players get to join in the holiday fun by wearing ELF themed uniforms that will be auctioned off after the game.
