Cleveland Charge have tough second contest against the Long Island Nets

Well...the good news is...everyone gets free donuts. The bad news is the Cleveland Charge (1-1) was shellacked by the Long Island Nets (1-2) losing to them by 42 points. The game started off well enough with both teams trading the lead back and forth. Then the Nets went on a tear besting Cleveland by 20 points at the half.

It was all down hill from there. At one point the Charge got stuck at 81 points and simply could not move any further as Long Island racked up points like it was a pin ball machine.

Isaiah Mobley led the Charge with 24 points and seven rebounds while Emoni Bates hit for 16 points. Sharife Cooper scored 15 points with six assists.

It was the barbershop quarter of Long Island that did most of the damage led by Keon Johnson coming off the bench to score 26 points and six boards. Kennedy Chandler made good with 23 points. Kyler Edwards and Armoni Brooks matched for 21 points. On rebounds it was the Nets cleaning the glass with a 56-31 advantage that included 16 offensive boards.

The Cleveland Charge will be back in action at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland after the new year when they host the Salt Lake City Stars on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. It will be PRIDE NIGHT. For more information and tickets go to https://cleveland.gleague.nba.com/
