Cleveland Charge have winning streak snapped at two by College Park Skyhawks
Things were getting along quite handily up to the end of the third quarter. Both teams would tie then take a slight lead. It was the fourth quarter that spelled doom for the home team as their shooting was off the mark and the officials took a total dislike to the team creating some unique and entertaining calls.
The Cleveland Charge (6-20) of the NBA G League, presented by Cleveland Clinic fell in defeat to the College Park Skyhawks (14-13), 118-108 as 2,858 ardent fans watched on in the Wolstein Center on Sunday afternoon.
Cleveland’s Cam Young was again good for 20+ points for the fourth time in a row as well as 8 times in 11 games playing on the Charge roster. Young netted 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting with five boards in 41 minutes. R.J. Nembhard was mister utility with 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists in 42 minutes. Tacko Fall earned his twelfth double-double for the season with 21 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes.
At the College Park end it was Cat Barber with a game high 30 points on 7-of-11 from the arc along with six rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes. Justin Tillman earned his double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds and three blocks in 36 minutes. Langston Galloway was off the bench for the Skyhawks netting 25 points on 7-of-14 from the field combined with two steals in 32 minutes.
