Cleveland Charge lose third game of the season against the Westchester Knicks




For awhile it looked as if the roster depleted Cleveland Charge would be able to turn the tables on the Westchester Knicks as they came back from a deficit of nearly 30 points. The home team managed to get as close as six points but a late 4th quarter rally by the visitors sealed the deal.

The Cleveland Charge (6-24) of the NBA G League, presented by Cleveland Clinic, were defeated for the second time in three days by the Westchester Knicks (16-14), 116-110 on their home court at the Wolstein Center on Tuesday evening.

Kyle Guy returned to the Charge scoring a game high 32 points with five rebounds and five assists in 43 minutes of play. Two-Way player R. J. Nembhard earned his seventh double-double of the season with 30 points and 12 boards to go along with his seven assists in 44 minutes. Tacko Fall earned a double-double (his fifth straight and 16th of the season) as he scored 26 points on 12-of-12 from the field with 16 rebounds and three blocks in 37 minutes on the court.

Westchester took an early lead and led throughout the game with Dewan Hernandez leading his team with 30 points, 15 rebounds And two blocks that was good for a double-double. Louis King scored 24 points and took nine boards in 32 minutes for Westchester. Feron Hunt added 16 points. Over the course of the season Westchester took all three scheduled games against Cleveland.

Thursday, March 31, 2022 is a very special night for the Cleveland Charge. It will be the final home game of the season and the Charge will be celebrating their loyal fans.

The game will be Cleveland Salute Night presented by ActNow. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. The game features a Cavs boblehead giveaway, postgame freethrows and the entire team signing autographs after the game.
