Cleveland Charge stays perfect at home with victory over Sioux Falls Skyforce
It was not an easy road to victory but in the end the Cleveland Charge (7-4) was still unbeaten on their home court. The Charge scored a 126-111 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Tuesday evening at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Taking the lead early in the first quarter, Cleveland padded the score by as much as 18 points. In mid fourth quarter the Skyforce fought back to within six. The Charge collected itself managing to finish the game fifteen points ahead.
Leading Cleveland’s scoring was Sharife Cooper with a double-double of 34 points and 12 assists with 19 of these points in the fourth quarter. Two-Way players Isaiah Mobley and Mamadi Diakite scored big with Isaiah earning a double-double of 24 points, 11 rebounds and two steals and Mamadi scoring 21 points, five assists and five blocks. Jordan Allen added 12 points on 4-of-4 from the 3 point line in 13 minutes of play off the bench. In total, Cleveland had 32 team assists on 48 made field goals.
Sioux Falls had six of their seven players score in double figures. D.J. Stewart was team top scorer with 24 points and two steals in 46 minutes. Orlando Robinson hit for 22 points with 11 boards, two steals and two blocks in 36 minutes. Jon Elmore added 18 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 41 minutes.
