Cleveland Browns come out into the sunshine for a great show for the fans

After two days of cancelled ‘open to the public’ practices, Cleveland Browns fans finally caught a break as nary a storm cloud was in sight on Sunday. Cleveland weather being what it is had deemed the hours between 3 and 6 p.m. as boomer central with storms and torrential rain roaring through the Cleveland Browns Training Complex in Berea, Ohio for two consecutive days on Friday and Saturday.

The team hit the field on Sunday afternoon starting off practice with a series of drills for the various divisions of the team. From there the team did a number of scrimmages that began to show some of the talent that this team has. The happy collection of fans got to see #10 QB Robert Griffin III make a highlight worthy completion to #11 WR Terrelle Pryor that crossed the goal line. #5 QB Cody Kessler showed his scrambling skills as he left the pocket in order to avoid the sack and threw across his body for a twenty yard completion.

What differentiated this practice was it was the first time the team had practiced in pads allowing for some stronger physicality on the field.Coach Hue Jackson took time to visit with the fans that lined the field showing that he truly is “the people’s coach” as he stopped to chat with various fans.

Following the practice, most of the players drifted over to the sidelines to sign autographs and bask in the glory of being an NFL player. There was a mutual respect between players and fans as the Cleveland Browns faithful quietly positioned themselves at the rope barricades in order to get an autograph of their favorite players. Even children were respectful saying please and thank you as the players signed helmets (full size and mini), posters, photos, pennants, shirts and more. Also on hand were the various Cleveland Browns corporate sponsors in their pop-ups passing out various mementos to the eager fans.

As one traveled from booth to booth you could acquire shirts, wrist bands, sting back bags and more all with the corporate log and prominent Cleveland Browns logo emblazoned on the item. You can still sign up for free app tickets to see the Cleveland Browns in action by clicking HERE.
