Cleveland Charge fight hard for a two-game sweep against the Sioux Falls Skyforce

The Cleveland Charge (8-4) managed a two-game sweep of the Sioux Falls Skyforce (4-6) 115-103 that was nearly a carbon copy of the previous night’s game. Cleveland took an early lead slowly building up the margin but soon found themselves trailing 31-28 in the beginning of the second quarter. It took a 13-4 run to put them back on top. Sioux Falls battled back in the fourth quarter but with some brilliant under the basket moves and well placed three pointers the Charge prevailed giving them a 5-0 home record for the season.

Top scorer for Cleveland was Isaiah Mobley hitting 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting with nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 32 minutes. Sharife Cooper was close behind with 25 points and six assists in 32 minutes. Nate Hinton was good for 23 points with four assists and four steals in 36 minutes. Jamorko Pickett earned his fifth double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds and two blocks in 40 minutes.

For Sioux Falls it was D.J. Stewart leading all scorers with 27 points and two steals in 39 minutes. Orlando Robinson earned his double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds in 26 minutes. Jon Elmore added 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals in 42 minutes.

Giving a festive air to the game, the Charge celebrated their second annual Noche Latina Night presented by Rocket Mortgage. The evening featured traditional dance performances and recognition from partners across the Northeast Ohio Hispanic and Latino communities.

The Charge remains in town as they continue their five game homestand with the next scheduled game against the Windy City Bulls on Monday, December 5th at 6:00 p.m. Tickets start at just $5.00!
