Cleveland Charge has their Christmas stuffing kicked out by Indiana Mad Ants

Well...the good news is that the Cleveland Charge (5-7) scored 117 points in last night’s contest so everyone gets donuts. The bad news is that the Indiana Mad Ants (10-1) demolished our home team by scoring 146 points in front of 4,430 fans.

It was ELF night at the Wolstein Center and the first 1,000 ticket holders received a free ELF T-Shirt courtesy of Goodwill Industries. There was also some mini-parachutes dropped on the crowd with gifts attached. In short, Indiana simply outplayed and outscored us. We needed more than some pixie dust to bring this one home.

Two-Way player Emoni Bates brought 15 points and eight rebounds. Off the bench, three players also added to the double digit scoring list: Devontae Shuler (15), Rob Edwards (14) and Olin Carter III (13).

On the Mad Ants side of the court they had seven players finish with double digits. Kyle Mangas led the game with 31 points with seven of the team’s 26 three point buckets. Stephen Hicks and Reid Travis both earned double-doubles off the bench with 24 points and 11 boards along with 21 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Pedro Bradshaw hit four-for-four from the arc on his way to scoring 20 points.

The Cleveland Charge hits the road as they participate in the Showcase Cup Schedule as they visit the Iowa Wolves at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines Iowa with the first of two games scheduled for December 14, 2023 with tip-off at 8:00 p.m. They will be back at the Wolstein Center on Friday, December 29, 2023 as they battle the Long Island Nets. It’s an early tip-off time of 5:00 p.m. It’s Margaritaville Night with Bucket Hats courtesy of Nuevo going to the first 1,000 ticket holders. There will be Margaritaville Specialty Jerseys being auctioned off, Dollar Fog Friday presented by hot Dog Wally, postgame autographs and postgame free throws.
