Cleveland Charge have their eight game winning streak stopped by Skyhawks

I was always taught by my beloved parents that if you do not have anything nice to say, keep your trap shut. In the case of the “fascinating” officiating at last night’s Cleveland Charge game…

The Cleveland Charge (8-2) had their eight-game winning streak snapped by the College Park Skyhawks (5-5) on Tuesday evening 111-106. There is no love lost between these two opponents as it was a physical battle from start to finish.

For the Cleveland Charge, each of the five starters scored in double figures. Sharife Cooper led the way with a game high 26 points with seven assists and five rebounds in 41 minutes. Isaiah Mobley was good for 21 points as well as eight rebounds, four assists and three blocks in 35 minutes. Nate Hinton earned a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds plus a pair of steals in 42 minutes. Sam Merrill added on 16 points and six rebounds in 39 minutes. Rounding out the field was Jamorko Pickett with 12 points and five rebounds in 29 minutes.

For the Skyhawks it was Brandon Williams scoring 21 points with seven rebounds and nine assists with two steals in 36 minutes. Chris Silva earned a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds in 24 minutes. Donovan Williams added 18 points with five rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 35 minutes.

The two teams have a rematch tonight at the CSU Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. with tickets starting at just $5.00! For more information and to purchase tickets go to Ticket Central - Charge Basketball (nba.com).
